We're So Glad You're Here

The Divisadero Corridor in Haight-Ashbury

Visit San Francisco like a Local

Located in the heart of San Francisco’s iconic 7×7 miles, The Metro Hotel is perfectly situated at the intersection of the city’s most vibrant areas including Haight-Ashbury, Alamo Square, Hayes Valley, the Castro, and Golden Gate Park. This makes it easy for you to explore some of the best local dining, shopping, and culture— all within walking distance.

Our micro-neighborhood, known as the Divisadero Corridor, is an area that has evolved from sand dunes into one of the city’s trendiest residential and culinary hubs. Known for its beautiful Victorian architecture and relaxed local feel, Haight-Ashbury is filled with acclaimed restaurants, cafés, and music venues.

Among the many beloved businesses on Divisadero Street, a destination for both locals and travelers alike, there’s only one hotel: The Metro Hotel.

Public Transportation

The hotel offers convenient access to public transportation, making it easy to explore the city without a car. The nearby Muni 24 stop is just steps away and runs north–south through San Francisco, while the Muni 5, 6, 7, 31, and 38 lines connect you to other popular neighborhoods. For light rail access, the N Judah and J Church trains are a ~10 minute walk away, offering direct service to downtown and Ocean Beach.

Getting to and from San Francisco International Airport by public transportation is simple and convenient. The N Judah light rail line connects to downtown where you can easily transfer to BART for a straightforward trip between the city and the airport.
